TREK TO BODAKONDA (ANDHRAPRADESH).................
Its an weekend, Jan-12-2013, Saturday morning..... Can't sleep as I sleep in peak winter. The day was getting bored, nothing left to explore in Hyderabad. No parties, No outings, No friends, day started worsen & worse. I started browsing & found one interesting event night trek organized from some trekking group on the day.
I joined them to trek, the place called BODAKONDA. Its located appx. 80Kms from Hyderabad. Totally 10 people joined to trek. We reached the village around 6.30PM & started trekking after parking our vehicles at one of the villager house. They agreed happily to park & informed us to be careful about the devils & animals near to hill.
Everyone started rushing towards the hill, we reached late already, also need to reach top at least by 9 to see surroundings in night. It was bit complicated to trek in the night with huge luggage brought from fellow female contemporaries to cook food at hill top.
We started getting introduced with the fellows while trekking, it was quite hard for girls to hike in the night. However they were showing good enthusiasm to climb. Its No moon day, stars are very clear, & you came make out the star-constellation easily. One of the fellow who follows these star-constellation shows us NASA satellite moving over India on the same day.
We reached the top by 10:00PM, Since it's winter the area was occupied with fog & its freezing too. We started searching for dry wood to start fire camp, Everyone is starving & needs food. Cooking has started, some people brought chicken to enjoy there trek feast. Everyone was eagerly waiting like a hawks to complete cooking so will have food. Some of my pic's.
I started fire camp, by the time food is ready. Everyone gathered together started our dinner by playing games, teasing others. We can't go around alone since the area is with Naxal's.
I was trying to take some of the picture by 11:00, however I wasn't having the proper flash to take good picture. I tried to take star trial photo, however I failed again. :( :(
Because of cold & tiredness people wants to sleep. They approached there sleeping bags & slept off apart from me & two others. We were centering for next 3 hours, However I was not interested to sleep for whole night, since I have next two boring days Sunday & Monday to sleep.
We three people started chatted all the night about our experiences, wild things we have done, good & bad moments, sex, love, hate, Girl friends, break ups & so on. we were snatched by cold entire night, & waiting for sunrise. Finally its 5:30AM early morning. We were trying to woke everyone, to show sun raise. People were snoring & not ready to wake.
We forcefully woke them all to show the beauty of nature. Couple of cherishing moment which I captured:-

We Reached village by 11:00AM, and we didn't found our bikes & car tires were punctured. We were annoyed & when asked villagers, they informed us that Police have taken our vehicles.
Trek group coordinator was trying ask reason to villagers, they started giving stupid reasons to us. They are not ready to share the phone number of police station. However some of our fellows called ministers & informed him about the situation. He called the station & inform them to release our bikes.
Police arrived to village & started shouting on us, since our coordinator didn't took permission to trek. Also these areas for effected by NAXALS. They started checking our bags. He started abusing the coordinator badly. He collected all our cell phone, we were not having any chance to call anyone influence person to take action against this guy. Also we came to know that villagers has complained against us at police station telling that people were acquiring the land & spoil there crops!!
Damn it!! Villagers were happily agreed to trek, again they have complained against us ?? WTF ??
The police lead told us to meet at station. We took auto from there to next 15Kms to reach police station. He is absconded till evening. He came back by 4:30PM. After lot of useless discussion with him we came to know that he expecting money from us through other people work at station. If we don't pay it, they will not release the bikes.
They forced us to pay 8000RS since they carried our vehicles to police station. They started demanding more since every one of us told that we are software engineers :). However we payed 6K & started towards Hyderabad. Reached home by 9:00PM
This was the worst trek I ever had. It's really a daymare........ However my tavel never ends because of these silly things........... This trek experience thought me a lot...................
